Running Free's Last Known Position
At 2 PM on July 2, 2008, Running Free was last reported to be traveling at 0.4 kts east-southeast approximately 270 yards off of Cape Race near Mistaken Point, Newfoundland. At that time, her position was 46°37'43.17"N, 53°11'41.33"W. She has not been heard from since. The picture by greatbigseas of this area of the coast of Newfoundland above was taken in 2007 from 46º 37' 33.96" N, 53º 9' 41.29" W looking west 1.62 miles to the east of Running Free's last known position.
